Nina Smit - 1988 in Apeldoorn, the Netherland

Young and very talented, Nina Smit is an illustrator who only graduated from the Academy of the Arts ArtEZ in Zwolle, the Netherlands, in 2010 and already published various books featuring her delicate drawings. She is known to capture a story in every illustration she makes and her love for the craft is instantly recognisable. Slightly absurd, sensitive and disarming sums up the work of Nina Smit that often comes in a few muted shades of white, yellow, black, blue and grey.
